Awurudhu Ulela

The Awurudhu Ulela is a vibrant celebration of Sri Lankan culture and traditions, held annually at the school to mark the Sinhala and Tamil New Year. This festive event brings students, teachers, and parents together for a day filled with traditional games, cultural performances, and authentic New Year rituals. Dressed in colorful attire, students participate in activities that reflect the rich heritage of Sri Lanka, from tug-of-war and sack races to the lighting of the oil lamp. The Awurudhu Ulela fosters community spirit, joy, and cultural appreciation, making it a cherished event in the school calendar.

Established in 1965, Sujatha Vidyalaya is a leading Government Approved private girls’ school catering to both Edexcel and the Local GCE Curriculum. We foster practical skills at an early age to create a niche learning experience with a student to faculty ratio of 10:1.
